Finding your perfect audience for your blog, business is more or less the same story. It is very important that you feed your content to the right audience and not the one who are not interested. And that is why today I am going to show you the six ideas to find perfect audience for your blog and business.

In this post, I have also included a digital worksheet. You will need this when you are on the hunt to find perfect audience for your blog and it is free.

You will hear hundreds of different ideas from hundreds of different people to find perfect audience for your blog. I will give you 6 simple ideas where you can find your ideal prospect. Thus, you don’t need to browse the whole WWW (internet globe), just follow these 6 ideas and you are good to go. I will also tell you why it works with an example.

Below are the six ideas for finding your perfect prospect.

1. Find out who are celebrities or influencers in your niche.

Your ideal prospects are possibly following the influencers or celebrities in your niche on social media. This is one of the best ways to find your perfect prospect.

Example: If you are in a Fitness niche specializing in body transformation (male), then one of the influencers is Kris Gethin. He is a celebrity fitness coach and Chief Editor. There is a 99% chance that your ideal and the perfect prospect is following him on a social media.

Why it works:

It works because you are targeting the prospect who have shown an interest to similar product or business. Targeting the audience following these celebrities and influencers on social media makes it much easier for you because you can easily target their Facebook pages when doing the Facebook ads.

2. Find out what books and magazines do they read.

Another best place to find your perfect prospect is by finding out which books and magazines they read. Your perfect prospect is possibly reading the particular theme of a book or a magazine. Once you know which books or magazines they read, you can target the author’s Facebook page when doing the Facebook ads.

Example: If you are in a Fitness niche, one of the bestsellers is ‘’Bigger Leaner Stronger’’ by Michael Matthews. It has almost 2,000 reviews on

Why it works:

It works because you will find out the interest, needs and expectation of your ideal prospect by knowing the content of the book. Two more things you can do: First, you can check the good and bad reviews of that book on; Analyze the reviews. This information is going to help you understand your audience. I recommend to read the book, if possible. You will be able to understand what type of language (typeface) the author is using so you can communicate with your ideal prospect in the same way.

The second thing you can do is to target author’s Facebook page when doing the Facebook ads.

3. Find out what websites do they visit often.

There is a high chance that your ideal prospect is visiting the certain websites at least once a day. Once you know which websites they visit, you can dig a little deeper and find out why they are visiting those sites.

Example: Social media websites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Google+. News websites, Gmail, Hotmail, Lifestyle websites.

Why it works:

It works because you can place your Ad on this platforms. Facebook and Gmail are the obvious cases: your prospect must be hanging out on Facebook or Gmail.

According to Dailymail, on an average SMARTPHONE USERS CHECK FACEBOOK 14 TIMES A DAY.

4. Find out what events do they attend.

If you are selling a physical product or B2B business then this idea works very well. There are so many events and exhibitions that take place every year, every month. Therefore, if you find out which event your prospect is attending then you can either attend that event as an exhibitor or a visitor.

Example: If you are in a Travel niche, then WTM (World Travel Market) exhibition that takes place each year and is one of the best places to sell you product if you are in a B2B space.

Why it works:

It works because people who are attending these SPECIFIC events and exhibitions are hot leads. They have already shown an interest in that niche or have B2C business and are attending event to find suppliers for their business.

5. Find out where do they live.

You want to know where your ideal prospect lives – which area, which city, which country. If you find out where they live then you can dig and find out a bit more about the economic condition of that area or city or country. Thus, you can target the ones who has an ABILITY and WILLINGNESS to pay for your product.

Example: If you have a high price product then it is a no-brainer that you target the area, city, country with a good economic condition.

Why it works:

It works because if you target the right audience living in the right GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION who are interested in your product or service, you will sell out easily. If you bang your head against the wrong audience you will simply waste your time and money.

6. Find out what tools, solutions or products do they use.

If you find out what tools, solutions or products your ideal prospects are using then you can leverage the ready-built audience of that solution or tools provider by arranging JV (Joint venture) partnerships. This makes it easy to build your audience.

Example: Godaddy & Fat cow, these are the website hosting providers. They offer you a $100 Google AdWords credit when you buy one year hosting with them. What is happening here is that Google is leveraging Godaddy’s ready-built audience.

You need to think outside the box. Some people think that this technique is only possible with big brands and companies, but it is not true.

I personally leveraged audiences interested in Facebook Advertising. What I did here is simply leveraging audience who were interested in Facebook Advertising.

Why it works:

It works because you are leveraging someone else’s ready-built audience who can benefit from your product or solution. Like Coke and Pizza, these are not the same products but beneficial to each other.

Now, you don’t have to use all ideas to find your perfect prospect. Pick the one which works very well in your niche or for you and start digging.
